What's This Blog About?

4 Hour Party People is a blog remembering nightclubs active on the island of Jersey during the 1980s and 1990s.

Why the name? Because in those years the island's clubs would open around 10 or 10.30pm and close around 1 or 2 pm, giving approximately 4 hours of "party" time. With one hour less on Sundays.

Some of the premises spoken of here have been wiped off the face of the planet. Others remain but have since been renamed and reconfigured.

All are now history.
